Dr. Chen is founder and CEO of ABM. Before ABM was established, Dr. Chen was CEO of Sundia Meditech. During his tenure, the team was expanded from approximately 200+ to 500+ professions. Prior to joining Sundia, Dr. Chen has more than 20 years of extensive experience in CNS drug research and GPCRs as drug targets, including 15 years at Neurocrine Bioscience, a Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical company which focuses on neurological drugs. There,  he achieved many outstanding scientific and industrial accomplishments, including development of two small molecule antagonists, NBI-42902 and elagolix of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor into clinical studies. Elagolix is the first FDA-approved oral treatment for the management of moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis in over a decade.

 

Dr. Chen received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Xiamen University, and his Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry. He also had postdoctoral training with Professor Sir Derek H. R. Barton, a Nobel Laureate at Texas A&M University in USA. Dr. Chen has so far published near 130 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is the co-inventor of over 25 US patents.
